About Us

Reba & Mimi are those friends who are always doing something. We’re always trying out new hobbies, crafts, and taking on fun and rewarding projects. And seriously, what could be more rewarding than learning the art and science of beekeeping? In July 2023, we began an apprenticeship program with a local beekeeper (now friend!) who taught us everything we know.

We are currently managing 5 hives — and one of them is a wild hive that just showed up one day! We are incredibly excited to care for these amazing pollinators and share their honey, wax, and propolis with our local customers.

We are pursuing certification with the UGA Master Beekeepers program to build on our existing knowledge and become a trusted source on beekeeping in the area. We’re also pursuing a Honey Bee Control & Removal license from the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Structural Pest Control Commission. This license will enable us to offer honey bee removal services from buildings or other structures, in addition to the swarm removal services we already offer.

Our bees

We have five wonderful hives. In honeybee societies the females are the leaders, so we decided that we wanted to name our hives after some women that we love and respect! Our hives are named: Jacqueline, Gladys, Loraine, Alma, and Rose Wilder Lane!
